Granny, Granny Game
If you are at the begining of the course, and you are teaching likes and dislikes with the structure "Do you like...? Yes, I do/ No, I don't" try to play the Granny, granny game.
It's very simple. Some of you know it from your childhood. I recommend to use this game with "food" topic.
One of your students is our granny. The rest of them are in the other side of the class. They need to get closer to granny. In order to achieve that, students need to ask "Granny, granny, do you like apples?" (for example).
Granny answers them: "Yes, I do / No, I don't" after that and depending how much she or he loves /hates the food, the student which is our granny indicates a number of these kind of steps:
- Kangaroo steps
- Giant steps
- Human steps
-Crab steps (backwards)
The winner is the student that have moved forward till where granny is.
Moreover, you can play this game not only with food, but also with hobbies, everyday actions, etc.
Rhett & Link Facebook Song
If you are dealing with social networks, I recommend this song of Rhett & Link about Facebook. In it, you can find lexical items related to the topic. Also, it's a very funny song that your students would enjoy a lot!!
